I like to make things. My favorite things to make are video games, music, and drawings. I aim to create things that offer a rich and engaging experience with strong musical aspects. I'm excited to see games developed as powerful learning tools, which I believe still has a lot of untapped potential. Sometimes games are just fun and that is all they need to be. I graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2012 with a B.S. in Computer Science: Game Design. My current location is Santa Cruz, California. Take a look around to see some of the things I have worked on in the past and present. I am always interested to hear about exciting opportunities. Please feel free to check out my resume (which includes my work history) and contact me.

Interests
I love to create. I've found new potential for making interesting things over the years with my growing software skills, which usually leads me to pick up new technologies in a goal-oriented approach. Sometimes I get too caught up geeking out while looking into work with new tech like frameworks, game engines, languages, limited hardware, etc. and I never get to the actual making part... so I guess I really like learning new things as well.
When I'm not learning new software skills, I might be learning new instruments or songs to play. I currently have experience with: piano (and many other keyed instruments like the accordion, melodica and synthesizers), guitar, banjo, mandolin and bass. I have a cello that I still want to get the hang of playing as well as brush up on my drum programming skills.
Nature is a huge inspiration for me, so I do enjoy time outdoors going on hikes or staring at the ocean. Other people's creations also inspire me, especially when I get the feeling that the process behind the creation seems interesting, like procedurally generated music, or cross-discipline multi-media projects.
I also enjoy making birthday cards for friends and family with pens and colored pencils.
I just want to make awesome things that improve people's lives.
